Welcome to Pachaug Animal Hospital
Where we know they are not just pets, they are family.
Pachaug Animal Hospital is a family owned and operated veterinary hospitals. Since opening our doors in 1979 we have provided the highest quality service to all our patients both big and small and all their amazing families we’ve had the privilege of meeting over the years.
Owner Dr. William A. Gay, D.V.M went to Ohio State University for his undergraduate studies and graduated from OSU College of Veterinary Medicine in 1975, then moved to Connecticut in 1977 and has operated PAH since 1979.
Although Voluntown is a lovely small town in Southeastern, CT, and the PAH is rural in it’s location, the practice is able to attract its clients from many of the surrounding communities. Having seen three generations of families enjoy our clinic, they keep coming back for our friendly recognizable staff, and the trust they put in Dr. Gay.
Our staff members have been with us for longer than most animal hospitals retain employees. The clients recognize this and enjoy the consistency of seeing the same faces here every visit. It gives them reassurance of the continuity of care. In turn the staff is able to have pleasant, meaningful conversations with our clients and friends.
